Foreign Languages for Kids (FL4K) is an EdTech startup building a language learning platform for kids. FL4K is creating a interactive Spanish program for today's schoolsand homeschools.
The platform reaches thousands of students ranging from K-8. They are in large and small school districts, private, charter, and virtual schools.

A foundation of the online portal was set but FL4K was looking to revamp and refresh their current user experience for students, teachers, parents and administrators. Lacking an intuitive online experience, FL4K needed to design the entire UI/UX for a new learning platform from the ground up. The goal was to create one of the best Spanish speaking programs for schools and homeschools.

Collaborating with FL4K's co-founders, developers and teachers,leading the design process for nearly everything on the platform, including designs that required challenging logic. I were able to adjust my designs and UX for both teacher and student perspectives. Making sure my work was easy to follow and explained my process clearly in meetings. Being adaptable to new ideas and flexible when needed was important for to project timelines.
This included new dashboards for teachers and students, a rostering page, curriculum overview, interactive digital activities (Aventuras Culturales, Post, Dialog, Fly Swatter, Practice Questions) and customization setting pages. I prepared all final designs for development and provided support for dev team when needed.
